Viva Summer!….we’re back for Lawn Bar ‘season six’ from Friday 23rd May!

Hooray we hear you say…the Lawn Bar re-opens again on the beautiful lawns of Northwood House in time for the Whitsun Bank Holiday! We’ll be here at weekends and plan to have your summer socialising sorted once again right the way through until September, as we have been for the last five summers. With regular weekend trading and some fantastic ticketed events throughout the season, we’re sure you’re going to love being back on the lawn with friends and family this summer. And with even more undercover seating with a cosy new Lawn Bar marquee right next to the main bar…plus our Mermaid Lawn Club Marquee, we’re not just for sunny days…in fact were good for all weathers these days! Just turn up and enjoy the vibe…and maybe a margarita or two!

Offering the largest outside licensed hospitality area in Cowes if not the whole Island, the Lawn Bar provides a perfect spot for guests to relax and soak up the sunshine with a drink…there’s always a chilled Balearic-style vibe to enjoy here which has made us so popular and even better news this year we have a new food partner.

So it’s Holy Guacamole!…we’re delighted to announce that The Prickly Pear, authentic Mexican street food specialists (based here in Cowes), will have their renowned Taco Truck on the lawns this summer to provide delicious Lawn Bar snacking and sunset supper dining during our opening times. So now you know why our logo has had a little Mexican-style make-over for 2025!

There will be a selection of delicious tacos to suit all tastes as well as loaded nachos, Mexican inspired side dishes and even some heavenly churros thrown in for good measure…so if you love tasty street food, come and join us for a taste-bud treat!

The Lawn Bar offers a range of great wines, gins and pitcher cocktails, as well as trendy beers from the Estrella Damm portfolio, the Lawn Bar provides a perfect social destination this summer for Islanders and visitors alike. Booking isn’t required, just come on down, as we’ve got plenty of tables…but if you want to reserve an inside seat, send us a message through facebook messenger or email with at least 24 hrs notice at events@northwoodhouse.org

Fridays: 4pm-10.30pm “The After work Social” For letting your hair down and unwinding after long week of work.

Saturdays: 2.30pm -10.30pm- “Sunset Supper Club” Delicious taco menu, live acoustic music 6pm-9pm and a Margarita bar (with 3 for 2 happy hour 5pm -6pm).

Sundays: 2.30noon-7.30pm- “Siesta on Sunday” Chilled socialising on the lawns…perfect for families with children, with free lawn games available. There will be the occasional guest DJ spinning some relaxed Balearic tunes from time to time!
