The event has expanded this year with some new areas added.

Alongside a full programme in the Main Ring, this year there’s entertainment and things to do spread across all 32 acres of the showground, which includes seven acres of woodland (ideal for escaping the sun). Show chairman, Graham Biss, said: “Everyone has seen their costs go up recently, and for many Islanders this means cutting back on some of the fun things in life. We want to make sure everyone can afford to come along and enjoy the best of the Island’s agriculture, food, arts and crafts. As well as all the displays, entertainment and ‘have a go’ opportunities, which are all free to do once you’re in the showground. “We’ve got more new acts booked for this year, as well as lots of amazing animals including cattle, sheep, pigs and goats. Plus horses, ponies… and alpacas! You can get up close to the farmyard animals, see a cow being milked, and even have a go at herding a pig. See you next week!”

One of the many new features this year, which is sure to be popular, is a dedicated reading area on the Village Green, inspired by the current High Sheriff’s theme, that every child can call themselves a reader and be able to lose themselves in a good book. A range of well-known people will be on hand to read to the children. So go along and enjoy a piece of tranquillity in what is bound to be a busy day and you never know who you might see!

Adult tickets are just £12.50 for the day until 12th July or £14.50 on the day. £17.50 until 12th July or £22 on the day for the weekend.
Entry is completely free for all under-16s who are accompanied by an adult. They’ve kept costs low and when you get to the show, most of the events are free. There are also Show Guides available to purchase, which features a programme of events, so you don’t miss the various activities taking place around the showground.

Saturday from 10am to 5pm, Sunday from 9.30am to 4.00pm . For tickets and info go to iwcountyshow.co.uk.

Everyone welcome.
