Deni Lavender

I am primarily a ceramic artist but added glasswork to my portfolio in 2019. I studied at Camberwell College of Art and the City Lit College and opened my first solo exhibition at a private gallery in London in 2009.

From my home studio I create hand-built functional and ornamental ceramic pieces influenced by the shapes and colours of nature. I have an appreciation for the philosophy and style of other cultures, particularly Asian, and this brings another dimension to both my ceramic work and creation of abstract and representational glass fusions, some sculptural pieces informed by my travels plus abstract and representational glasswork.

DIRECTIONS
Hilton Rd is an unmade road, that runs between Cockleton Lane and Worsley Road. Street parking plus forecourt space for 1 or 2 small cars. Look for the red bunting.
The studio is located at the end of the garden. Entrance is via the back gate, there is a step up into the garden which may not be helpful to wheelchair users.
