Summer is fast approaching, and Defence Lab IOW would like to offer all ladies the opportunity to undergo specific self-defence training that could help build confidence, as well as provide useful skills that might be useful should you ever come into a physical conflict, whether you’re out enjoying the evenings on the island, or abroad on holiday in another country.

The Ladies Self Defence Course will be held at the Northwood Village Hall, 364 Newport Road, on Cowes. This course is open to ages 13 years + and costs £10.00 per person!

All equipment will be provided on the day, bring comfortable clothing, shoes and a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.

What will be covered in the session:

01. The Tactical Defensive Arm Shields

02. The Tactical Striking Techniques

03. The Use of Improvised Weapons

04. Escaping the common Street Strangles

05. Escaping the common Street Restraints

06. Escaping off the Ground/Rape Attacks

All these are simple to learn and easy to apply, and just might make the difference to life and death, dramatic as that might sound, it is, unfortunately, a factor that does appear now and then in our society.
