Valerie Cranwell

I started painting when I retired from full-time employment 20 years ago, never having painted before. I have no formal art training but have attended many workshops and demonstrations and combined my love of travel with attending painting holidays in various parts of the world, I love experimenting with materials, subjects and styles though I think my predominant style is impressionistic abstract. I am particularly influenced by Joan Eardley, John Blockley, Kurt Jackson and Shirley Treven.
