The Isle of Wight branch of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is holding it’s 17th annual ‘Mum’s Memory Day’ Antiques and Collector’s Fair on Sunday 13th March 2022 at Northwood House.
This event is run by sisters Doreen Gant and Jennie Lewis in loving memory of their Mum, Mavis Summerfield, who died of MND in 2002.
Jennie, Chair of the MNDA Isle of Wight branch, commented ‘Our fund-raising efforts have been severely impacted by Covid restrictions over the last two years so we are calling upon local people to support us and come along on the day. Please email me with any queries or to hire a table on the day’. (jalewis2111@gmail.com)
Doreen added ‘Inspired by Kevin Sinfield, who is raising money for his friend ex- rugby Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrows, by running one hundred and one miles in 24 hours. Let’s all go the extra mile to help local people living with MND’.
The event is kindly supported by Wightfibre.
Refreshments are available via the Northwood House Charitable Trust award-winning events team, who will be supplying tea, scrummy cakes and sandwiches all through the day for exhibitors and visitors.
The event will adhere to any Covid restrictions at the time so please see local press and social media to ensure the event is able to proceed.
Admission is £2.50 per adult, with accompanied children free.
Payment by card or cash for admission will be possible but please note most stallholders will only take cash – cashpoint available in West Cowes by Sainsburys.
